Manufacturers Pick up the Global Warming Message
Numerous attempts to explain global warming and how modern civilization has accelerated the process have failed to shake many people out of their idyllic states of mind. We just get too wrapped up in our own personal issues to really think about how we might — as individuals — help reduce global warming. Of course, governments and activists alike have suggested that people should do everything they can to reduce energy consumption. The less energy we use the less need there is to burn fossil fuels.
Some manufacturers have turned to the global warming issue to find ways to reach out to consumers and build their businesses. For example, many automobile manufacturers are now pursuing more gas-efficient vehicle designs. Home appliance vendors are touting the energy savings their newest models provide over older appliances. And, believe it or not, some home accessory manufacturers are also touting their global warming strategies to consumers. Custom window manufacturers fall into the growing number of industries offering energy-reduction as a benefit of buying their products.
There are several companies that offer custom window replacement. Without saying that one is better than the other, here is an example of a company that is working to get the message out to consumers: Penguin Windows, based in the state of Washington, has been selling custom replacement windows direct to consumers for 25 years. During the course of 2009 Penguin combined its energy-efficient message with a 25th anniversary sweepstakes. Claiming respective consumer satisfaction survey results, Penguin Windows sent its sales force out to let people know that energy-inefficient windows might be costing them money.
Now, as there are several other custom window manufacturers to choose from, consumers would be wise to talk with several companies and negotiate the best possible terms from each before making a final purchase decision. Penguin Windows may or may not be the best fit for your home improvement needs. Be sure to do the research before you make the purchase.
